Tiger Lilly

Lilium columbianum, which has freckled orange or yellow flowers hanging face down with petals curved up, is a PNW native that grows well in full sun and dry conditions.

Lilium columbianum is a bulb growing to 2-4 ft tall. Plants can be slow to mature when first plated. It is in flower from Jul to August, and the seeds ripen from Aug to September.

The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by bees.

Be sure to let the tops die down naturally so that the strength will return to the bulb.
