Trillium ovatum

 

This trillium produces stark white flowers in early spring (March to May).  Grows in moist to wet woods, stream banks and shaded open areas.  Genus comes from the Latin trillium meaning in 3s, referring to the leaves, petals, sepals and stigmas.
